DropStream is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how DropStream collects, uses and shares information about

  • you, the DropStream user;
  • your merchants, whose online sales channels are connected by DropStream to your WMS, OMS, 3PL, ERP, or shipping platform; and
  • the customers who makes purchases from those sales channels, whose orders are processed by DropStream on your behalf.

It also describes DropStream's use of Personally Identifiable Information (PII), how that information is used, and how it may be updated or deleted on request.

Data we collect

User Data

We may collect the following personal information about you:

  • Contact information, such as name, email address, shipping address, and phone number
  • Business Information, such as company name, company size, and business type
  • Billing Information, such as credit card number, expiration date, and billing address

We may collect your personal information when you

  • Contact us to request more information about our products
  • Sign up to receive our whitepapers
  • Set up an account
  • Purchase products
  • Sign up for our newsletter or mailing list
  • Submit a product review
  • Submit a comment and/or inquiry to our community message boards

Customer Data

We may receive, process, and store the following customer data on your behalf, only as strictly required to facilitate order fulfillment:

  • Billing name, address, phone number, and email address of the customer
  • Shipping name, address, phone number, and email address of the order recipient

Information Sharing

We may share your personal information with third parties only for the purposes described in this privacy statement. We do not sell, lease, trade, or otherwise share your personal information with third parties other than agents or service providers acting on our behalf for these limited purposes. For example, we may share personal information with our agents or service providers to send you email on our behalf.

Some features on our site, such as our Knowledge Base and support ticketing system, may be hosted by third party service providers. These third parties are authorized to use your personal information only to perform the service they are contracted to provide for us, and those parties do not have an independent right to share or use this information.

Deletion of data

When data is deleted from the DropStream application, it is permanently and irrevocably purged, and cannot be retrieved.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for only the period of time necessary to fulfill the purpose for which we have collected it. To determine the appropriate retention period, we consider the amount, nature and sensitivity of your personal data; the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of your personal data; and the purposes for which we process your personal data. We will also retain and use your personal information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our policies.

Account data

Your DropStream account data is accessible to you and the staff users expressly authorized by you, according to the permissions you specify.

Account billing information may be updated in the application by you, or an administrator account authorized by you, at any time in the application Account Settings.

Customer data

Customer data received on sales orders, invoices, purchase orders, shipment confirmations, and sales order returns is retained in DropStream for the period of time required to process the data, fulfill the orders, and notify the sales channel of fulfillment.

You may delete customer data pertaining to sales orders, invoices, and purchase orders from the application at any time, at your discretion.

Customers personally identified by data processed by DropStream may request its removal by emailing our Support team at support@getdropstream.com.

Application logs, including API transaction logs, may necessarily include customer data. These logs are available in the DropStream application to you, and the staff accounts expressly authorized by you, for a period of thirty (30) days, after which the data is deleted.

All personal data associated with your account is deleted at the time of account closure.

If you have questions about how a merchant, store, or fulfillment provider connected to DropStream processes your personal information, you should review their privacy policy and/or contact them directly.

Disclosure of personal data

We may be legally required to disclose your personal information (for example, to comply with a court order). We reserve the right to do so if that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others; to investigate fraud; of if required by law.

Transferrence of assets

In the event DropStream undergoes a business transition such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your personally identifiable information may be among the assets transferred. You will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our website of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information.

Opting Out of Marketing Communications

You may opt-out of receiving our newsletter or marketing emails from us by following the unsubscribe instructions included in each newsletter or marketing email, or you can email our Support team at support@getdropstream.com.

Cookies

Cookies are text files stored on your computer to collect standard Internet log information and visitor behavior information. When you visit our website, we may use cookies to

  • Compile aggregate statistics about our site visitors
  • Analyze which pages our site visitors visit
  • Measure advertising and promotional effectiveness
  • Make it easier for you to navigate our site

Log Data

Our website may keep electronic logs of information including internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and/or site traffic statistics.

We may use this information to secure and administer the site, track users' activities on the site, analyze trends, analyze trends, and compile demographics about our userbase.

Web Beacons

Web beacons are electronic images used to track data about user activity. We or third parties may use web beacons in the web application, on our marketing website, or in email communications.

Linked Websites

Our site includes links to other websites whose privacy practices may differ from those of DropStream. If you submit personal information to any of those sites, your information is subject to their privacy policies, as applicable.

Security

The security of your personal information is important to us. When you share sensitive information in our application or on our website, that information is encrypted in transit using secure socket layer technology (SSL).
